As our project in Slovenia is coming to an end at the end of the year, the consortium gathered for a public closing event for national experts and interested parties from the area at the Radenci Spa Resort, Slovenia. The expert event took place on the morning of the 29^th of November, where the main results of the project were presented. First, the project coordinator, Dr. Gorazd Žibret, from GeoZS (Geological Survey of Slovenia) and organiser of the event, welcomed all participants and introduced the project. Dr. Samo Hočevar introduced KI (National Institute of Chemistry for Slovenia) and the work of the institution, followed by Dr. Johanna Irrgeher, from the University of Leoben (MUL), presented the field of analytical chemistry in environmental research, as well as the preliminary results of Sr isotope ratios of water samples conducted at MUL. Barbara Čeplak and Dr. Polona Kralj (both GeoZS) then presented the elemental composition of sediments and water in the Mura River. After the presentation of the results obtained within the MURmap project, other related projects dealing with research in the area of the Mura River and topics related to water and river sediments were presented.

The afternoon was dedicated to visitors who had the opportunity to get to know the research equipment used in the project as well as some other equipment used by geologists and chemists in their work.
